2022 Tennessee Xtreme Hike

by

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

6am

This year’s route will take hikers 12 miles along one of the newest sections of the Cumberland Trail, with highlights including views of Hellican Peak. Hikers will take on the point-to-point challenge in one day.

As participants prepare for the physical challenge, hikers are encouraged to raise a $2,500 fundraising minimum through their personal and social media campaigns. All hikers committed to reaching the suggested fundraising minimum will begin their experience on Saturday, September 24th with a pre-hike pasta party in Chattanooga, followed by a good night’s rest in our overnight accommodations. Early Sunday, hikers will head to the meeting point before hopping a shuttle to the trailhead. After completing the hike, participants will have earned their finish line foot soak and cool down before enjoying the trail end celebration.

The journey of participation includes:

  • 3-month training plan
  • Overnight accommodations Saturday evening
  • Pre-hike pasta party on Saturday evening
  • Fully-stocked rest stops along the trail
  • Official Xtreme Hike wicking shirt
  • Prior to sunrise hike breakfast
  • Finish line foot soak
  • Trail end celebration

Often in country music, artists leave their small hometowns with big stories to tell -- in singer-songwriter Tyler Booth's case, those stories are his very own. From supporting some of the genre's top stars including Joe Diffie, Brooks and Dunn, Dwight Yoakam, and Josh Abbott to building a grass-roots fan base across the nation, the 25-year-old singer has already lived a life worth writing songs about. Now Booth is touring behind the arrival of his Grab The Reins EP.

TVRM's most frequent service trips — called the “Local” for short — begin at the Grand Junction Station and take you over four bridges and through the pre-Civil War Missionary Ridge Tunnel. The trip is 65-minutes (15 min to East Chattanooga, 25 min layover, and 15 min back to Grand Junction) and includes a turntable demonstration and brief tour of the TVRM restoration shop in East Chattanooga.
