A Woman Is A Riot

by

Planned Parenthood and Art For The Internet

@

6-9pm

On February 19, 2022, Planned Parenthood and Art For The Internet are hosting an art exhibition celebrating bodily autonomy, liberation, and sexual agency in commemoration of the 49th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade!

Join Planned Parenthood and Art For The Internet in Chattanooga for A Woman is a Riot. An art show depicting the ongoing struggle we face to maintain our bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom.

January 22, 2022 is the 49th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and while that is cause for celebration, it might be Tennessee's last time celebrating if we don't come together to build a strong reproductive rights movement in our community. On November 1st, the Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments around Texas's 6 Week ban, SB8. On December 1st, the Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments around Mississippi's 15 Week Ban. Tennessee currently has a Trigger Law in place that states that if Roe v. Wade is ever overturned at the Supreme Court level (even if it's overturned only in part), then abortion immediately becomes illegal in Tennessee within 30 days. Since both of these abortion ban cases have the potential to overturn or chip away at Roe, it is a near guarantee that we could see abortion become illegal in Tennessee in 2022. We need YOUR help raising awareness and moving people to take action with us.
