Join us for an unforgettable evening with Obbie West! His delivery is electric, his ideas are refreshing, and his talent is undeniable.
International spoken word artist, Obbie West, is a native of Los Angeles and a retiree from the United States Army. He offers poetry presentations from a unique and captivating angle. His uncut, straightforward approach is thought-provoking and serves as a call-to-action for all in attendance. He travels the world, presenting life-depicting poetry on a variety of topics. He also uses poetry as a form of social activism.
Obbie has invested a personal and sincere interest in bringing awareness to taboo topics, like sexual assault. His widely-known signature poem, "The Perpetrator's Perspective” has been incorporated into sexual assault training throughout the military and has won several honors. He is the author of a poetry book entitled “Blossom” and a poetry album entitled, “Unstable Man.”
