Come meet and greet this year’s featured visual artist, La-Tesia Danielle. La-Tesia is a dynamic multidisciplinary artist working in poetry, visual art, performance, and community engagement. Enjoy our signature cocktails, the smooth sounds of saxophonist, Frank Bumpass and an opportunity for a one-on-one conversation with the artist.
This art exhibit will further that experience & feature an array of artists from all over the country. In the creative spirit of James Baldwin & his comrades, we continue using the arts as tools for change. This exhibit features visual art inspired by the works of Baldwin. Artists were tasked with finding something from James Baldwin's life as a muse. The Fire Next Time is a novel by James Baldwin published in 1963.
