Raccoon Mountain “haircut” day for National Trails Day

It’s time to give Raccoon a haircut! Come on out and help get rid of all of the face slappers and other assorted brush.

It’s National trails day so let’s show Raccoon some love!

You will be working around Raccoon Mountain to clean up all of the brush that’s starting to encroach on the trails to make summer riding more enjoyable.

No trail experience necessary!

Please be sure to bring:

Sturdy work boots or shoes (no open-toed shoes or sandals)

Long pants/sleeves

Work glove and eye protection. We will have some on hand if you don’t already have your own.

Easy to carry hydration (Hydration pack or clip-on water bottles recommended)

A desire to have some fun!

Organizers will have some lopers on hand but if you have your own lopers, clippers or weed whackers, please bring them along!

You will meet at the East Overlook parking lot at 9am, coffee and snacks will be provided.

As far back as he can remember, Capricorn Studios was calling Eddie 9V. As a kid scanning the sleeves of his favorite vinyl records, this fabled facility in Macon, Georgia, was always the secret ingredient, adding a little grit and honey to every song born on its floor. Capricorn and the bands who blew through it urged the Atlanta guitarist to ditch school at 15, play his fingers bloody throughout the south, and turn apathy into acclaim for early albums Left My Soul in Memphis (2019) and Little Black Flies (2021). In December 2021, the 26-year-old finally put his thumbprint on the studio's mythology, corralling an eleven-strong group of the American South's best roots musicians to track his third album.
