Yoga On The Bluff

About the hike/yoga: Join us for a hike up to the gorgeous Bluff overlook where we will then participate in a Community Vinyasa Yoga Class. Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. This class will contain seated, kneeling, and standing postures carefully sequenced to gently stretch and strengthen your body while tapping into your moving meditation. No experience necessary—this class is open to all levels! The instructor will be happy to offer any modifications and assists for all levels of practice. The total mileage of the hike will be approximately 3.5 miles with 400 feet of elevation gain.

About the instructor: Grace Strang is a 200hr Yoga Alliance certified instructor currently teaching at Southern Soul Yoga in Chattanooga. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and loves sharing her joy and passion for yoga with others. Grace aspires to teach classes from the heart that hopefully help create a healing, energized, inclusive, and uplifting environment for her students.

Date: Friday, August 30th

Meeting Time: Please arrive no later than 5:45pm EST at Lula Lake's Core Preserve property located at 5000 Lula Lake Road, Lookout Mountain GA, 30750 for check-in and introductions. The gate will open at 5:30pm EST and we will head out for the hike promptly at 6:00pm EST, so please arrive early. The gate will close at 5:55pm and entry will not be permitted after that time.

Bring: Your own yoga mat/props, plenty of water (it's going to be naturally HOT yoga), sturdy hiking shoes/boots, and a headlamp or flashlight.

Allergies: If you are allergic to bee stings or anything else in nature, please carry your own EpiPen as we do not have one on site.

Note: This event will take place on private property and all participants must leave after the hike has ended at 8:30pm.

Pay What You Can Donation: To register, pay what you can. All funds go directly back to Lula Lake's conservation and trail building efforts.
